Our training rate of $730 per month always includes:
Exceptional daily care and grooming- Training five days per week
- Grass or Alfalfa/ four feedings a day
- Stall cleaning every day
- Indoor or Outdoor Stalls available
- Lighted stalls available
Carl Wood, the owner of Doubletree Horse Farms, wishes to thank his friend Al Dunning for his help and advise in this expansion effort. He offered much information about business, facility management and different training techniques. Al motivated Carl to continue his plans to expand his existing operation and to continue training outside horses.
A variety of clinics in reining and working-cow horse will be available as well as seminars, judging, critiquing and videoing.
The facility now has a 200'x300' loping arena, a 150'x250' fenced show arena, a 150' cutting round pen, a 100' cutting and breaking round pen, a 60' high walled lunging round pen, a 150'x100' warm up arena, a pro-cutter remote controlled mechanical cow, and lots of fresh cattle. 2003 saw the first NRCHA sanctioned event on the Western Slope of Colorado at Doubletree. The Fourth Annual NRCHA Show will be held in 2006 with more to follow. We also offered clinics by JD Anderson NRHA judge and finalist, and Brian Digart past president of the NRHA. Brian is also an NRHA Judge and finalist. Our dear friend Gary Putman NRCHA and NRHA judge has judged several of our shows and given several clinics here at Doubletree. 2005 saw our first Versatility Ranch Horse Show. We had 5 shows in 2005 and each year they get better and better. These are great fun for the whole family. Carl Wood has also put on several working cowhorse, team penning, versatility ranch horse, and reining clinics.
